Jimmy Lee was the consummate storyteller and entertainer. When he wasn't painting in his workshop, Jimmy Lee loved to play his harmonica and tell stories of his experience growing up in Fayette, Alabama.

Originally a yard worker, Jimmy Lee used the materials he came into contact with everyday (mud, soot, wood and charcoal) to bring his colorful stories and memories to life.
